The WES5 Tulipo is a small and innovative wind turbine especially designed for use schools, petrol stations, supermarkets, etc..  This modern turbine was nominated for the prestigious Dutch Design Award 2000. With the specially designed blades and relatively low rpm, it emits almost no noise or vibrations.  It needs minimum maintenance and it is fully automatic.  The beautiful curves, it's user-friendliness and double safety features makes it very suitable for placement on or near buildings.

Due to the specially designed blades and its relatively low rotational speed it has a very low noise emission: it emits only 35dBA at 20 meter distance from the source.

The WES5 Tulipo does not only produce electricity for you. It is also a very powerful marketing tool. Placing a Tulipo creates a strong and positive image that you care for the environment!

The Tulipo will cover a large part of your electricity consumption. In times of low winds, your electricity will come automatically from the grid. When you produce more than you can use, the over-production will automatically be fed into the grid.  On top of that, you are doing your share in creating a cleaner and better environment.

SPECIAL DESIGN

The WES5 Tulipo has a very modern and unique design, fixed pitch and upwind rotor with variable speed and designed for grid-connected operations. It has a safety active jaw mechanism, so that no tail vane is used. The jaw motor has a battery charged back up system.

The WES5 Tulipo works fully automatic under all weather conditions. The turbine will start automatically at a wind speed of 3 m/s (wind force 2) and will start producing your own green electricity.

The WES5 Tulipo has a tower height of 12 meter and weighs only 940 kg.
